In the colored portrait I first began with sketching the overall shapes of the face adding very little detail in pencil. Next, I mixed colors like green blue red yellow and white to make the perfect skin tone, some darker than the others. After, I did the lips and eyes including highlights and shadows with texture. And finally I added the hair and after it was semi dry I took a dry brush and stroked the brush along the page to create a hair like texture. And at the very end I added the solid orange color.
RUBRIC- proportions / 4 defined features/ 5 united picture / 5 colors/4 total- 18/20 In this sketch of my old bestfriend from Tennessee I first started with a large oval, then I "sculpted" the jaw line in the oval and created the overall shape of the skull and adding the neck. After I drew many construction lines where the eyes, nose, and mouth would like up. Finally. Began to put in the actual parts the overall shape then kept going back adding more detail to each every time. Then,I shaded the face under the nose, jawline, chin, neck, and a little of the eyes. Lastly I added in the hair!
